A serious group of talented musicians unafraid of new, challenging repertoire’ Seen and Heard International

Sinfonia Cymru is Wales’ orchestra of young talent, a collective of dynamic professional musicians all aged under 30, from Wales and around the world. Whether performing classical music, new compositions or exciting collaborations with celebrated musicians from other genres, they play with passion, precision and a spirit of adventure. Praised for the ‘vibrancy’ and ‘incisive and expressive playing’ by The Guardian, they present a varied and engaging programme of nonets, detects and the beloved Mendelssohn Octet.

Their leader is Haim Choi, a virtuoso violinist, Co-Leader of the Glyndebourne Sinfonia and 1st violinist of the award-winning Salomé Quartet, a professor at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Cultural Ambassador of UNESCO Korea.
