Julian Bliss Quintet
One of the world’s most respected clarinet soloists and a former child prodigy, Julian Bliss’s explorations in jazz were inspired by ‘the King of Swing’, Benny Goodman. Since then, he has led his ensemble through an array of styles and eras. This programme celebrates the pioneers of jazz, from early jazz all the way through to Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock, promising something for jazz lovers of all kinds.
