6.15pm – Free Film Screening of: MUSIC OF EXILE – A dramatic telling of the life of Bohuslav Martinü
Filmed on locations in Moravia, Prague, Paris and New York, this film dating from 1966 tells the extraordinary story of a composer finding his own distinctive voice shaped by memories of, and longings for, his homeland occupied by Nazi Germany and then the Soviet Republic. Filmed during the Prague Spring, this film, including rare library footage, has been shown around the globe.
