METHOD IN MADNESS

WIMF

‘Method in Madness’ comes from the O/Mordent Festival in Stockholm, one of the programmes I most enjoyed in the last three years. I’ve been waiting three years for the riveting mezzo-soprano Luciana Mancini to be available from the Berlin Staatsoper. FROM 'ZERO' TO 'INFINITY'

WIMF

‘From ‘Zero’ to ‘Infinity’ is at the very the heart of this year’s programming - Music, Mathematics, and Architecture (ZERO was invented in India!) - Look forward to some of the most interesting music of the Festival… Delight in the wonderful music of unfamiliar names - Golijov, Ligeti, Gubaidulina, and Xenakis - all hand chosen, important composers, and the last time Xenakis percussion music was performed there was a spontaneous standing ovation!

LABYRINTHS

WIMF

Two wonderful programmes exploring canons, fugures, and other musical puzzles concocted by our Artist in Residence, Violinist, and Festival Director, Hugo Ticciati.

One of the most gifted young artistic directors that I have encountered. His interweaving of themes results in the most unexpected and joyful musical experience. It’s sheer pleasure to sit through a concert put together by Hugo.
