Support Us

Hello – my name is Julian Marland.  I have been helping arts sector charities raise money for nearly 30 years. I recently joined as a Trustee of the Wimbledon International Music Festival to help this amazing Festival continue to bring a collection of the world’s finest musicians to your doorsteps every November.

Bringing great musicians from around the world requires planning a long time ahead, and the ‘Best’ naturally cost more money, more than our intimate venues in Wimbledon can bring in in ticket sales alone.

The generosity of our supporters has helped to bridge this gap.

Although we successfully continue to attract Arts Council funding for specific projects, the government’s ‘levelling up’ agenda sees arts funding generally moving out of London, so we cannot expect to rely on support from public sector sources.

For this reason, I am asking you to join me in becoming a Benefactor or Friend of the Festival.   While all the associated costs of putting on the Festival increase every year, we have chosen to hold the levels of our Friends and Benefactors’ contributions over the past few years:

Benefactors
Gold at £2,000 and above;
Silver from £1,000;
Bronze from £500

Friends:
Gold from £250;
Silver from £100;
Friend from £40.

Of course we want to offer something back for your support – listed on another page -but you may feel that the greater reward is in helping the Festival to plan ahead with confidence, to flourish this year, next year, and into the future.

“Absolutely brilliant fortnight. Substantially raises the value of living in Wimbledon.  I waited 60 years for this”  Alan Marsh

 So please do join at whatever level you feel able.

  • If you are already a Friend or Benefactor, please consider moving up to a higher level.
  • Encourage your friends to join you as a supporter
  • Sponsor a whole concert, either yourself, with a group of friends, or for your business
  • And of course do buy as many tickets as you can. We love full houses!

I would love to hear your views.  Feel free to contact me at julian.marland@wimbledonmusicfestival.co.uk
