Tickets: £30/£24/£18/£12 (Student £5)

African Sanctus is a highly original work in which very different cultures have been imaginatively and ingeniously fused… invariably received with acclaim. The music is as fresh today as it was when first heard in 1972 and its message of peace, goodwill and understanding between nations just as relevant

A thrilling setting of the Latin Mass harmonised with traditional African music collected by the legendary composer David Fanshawe on his many journeys up the River Nile. Written in 1972, it is a mainstay of the choral repertoire: moving, uplifting and electrifying.
